Cycling and Walking Holidays in Suffolk

Cycle and walking friendly accommodation

Whilst on your holiday you can easily explore the area by bike or on foot.  The country lanes are quiet and the gently curved Suffolk topography is attractive for cycling and walking of all levels.

Various cycling and walking guide books are in the lodges and there are also a range of cycling routes featured on the Discover Suffolk website.

The holiday lodges are 3.5 miles from the Sustrans National Route 1. There is a new all-weather cycle path recently opened in Halesworth through the Millennium Green which has helped to create a continuous route through the town to link Saxons Way to Mills Road and become part of the national cycling route.

Holiday guests also have the freedom to enjoy walking on the many public footpaths and bridleways in the area and also several neighbouring farms have wide grass margins to explore as part of the Suffolk countryside stewardship scheme.

  • "Anyone looking for peace and tranquillity – look no further. The lodge is very clean and comfortable – lots of wildlife and a delight for astronomers, no light pollution. Hope to be back soon"
